Please don't get me on the subject of bathroom extractor fans.

without too much pressure crack on sir, i'm fairly confident theres no embarrasment in it, but for the rattling, hence i use the over head light instead.

Can I just put this out there: A press iron? My Mum has used one for 15 years or more. It has steam as well, and hers stopped working due to hard water (so use distilled, or get a dehumidifier and make your own distilled water). At first glance you'd think "you can't do shirts on that", but I found it easier than a conventional iron. it's also great for trousers and large stuff like sheets.

What I don't understand with conventional irons is, why do some expensive ones come attached to a massive bucket? Does that generate more steam than a normal steam iron, and is more steam always better for easy ironing?

Thanks for the advice. I knew there were a few ex-military types, and the like, here so thought it worth asking. I've been busy working and taking care of the 'flu-ridden kids, and starting the winters' triathlon training, and trying to find time to sleep, so haven't been able to respond until now.

They don't have the same models for sale here in norway as the UK but, nevertheless, i've picked up a few pointers. Such as: try it out for size - i like that one; don't buy tefal-coated - i'll have a look in the shop. I don't want one with a big bucket attached, and i don't want to spend a great deal of money, as i'm looking at spending 5-10mins a time once or twice a week. Using a water-sprayer is a good idea, and i'm not unused to it but, i want to treat myself to a proper iron that works as it should.

Cheers
