If you are using a fruit-based tablet, them check out the 'Pages' tablet version. It's pretty good.

If you are using a Samsung Android Tablet then Polaris Office is included, otherwise just look in Google Play at the Office products they will say what files they can Read/Write.
It is worth downloading the Amazon App Store as they giveaway a free app everyday, I got one of the Office apps for free as their app of the day once.
