Recommended Bar Tapes?

Fantastic grip and really comfy. I've had a few tape brands and I swear by Lizardskins now.

Another vote for Lizardskins. Mine has been on over a year and still looks good and is comfy and grippy.

Took an encounter with the tarmac to do that to mine

Cannondale Synapse bar tape is lovely much nicer than Fizik I have on my Giant

Specialized Roubaix tape is very good and fits the spec.: suede-like finish, very good vibration damping (you really won't need two layers) and seems to last rather well. Mine's lasted about 15,000km so far and been re-wrapped about five or six times - still looks perfect.

I've gone for "Widget Premium Silicone Wrap" (over Profile tape)

Seems good so far - stretchy, grippy, no adhesive so easy to reposition, doesn't pick up muck.
It's only been on a couple of months, so durability is pending.
Comes with a pair of expanding bar bungs, if you care.

Still love Giant Contact tape, although the Prologo stuff was nice adn surprisingly long, which is always a plus.

Lifeline performance from wiggle, cheap comes with everything you need and works well, I've used it twice now.

+1 for the Lizardskins 3.2mm version. The thinner one wears too fast in my experience

I've recently replaced mine with the Fizik tacky stuff. Feels really nice with good cushioning being 3mm. Better imo than cork tape or the fizik microtex which I had before the tacky stuff.

Never tried Lizrdskins but to me £15 is the most I could justify in bar tape as I tend to change it pretty often.
