Unfortunately, if this this legislation is made law it will be very difficult to enforce and the majority of the car centric public will ignore it.

True dat.

From the same jurisdiction I cited above:
More cyclists than motorists have been fined after new road rules came into effect last year

The seems to a photo attached on the first post, but I can't see it. Is it just me, or do you have to be a member to see the photos on that site?
I'm not sure about whether or not you have to be a member of the Thorn Forum to open the photo attachment (though I am a member). It won't upload separately as it says 'size too large'.

Puzzle game procrastinator!
Has anybody else noticed the 'Guilty pass' technique? (Either that, or it is a 'Totally distracted so I only noticed you when I drew level' phenomenon.) It is when a driver starts to overtake you WAY too close and only then starts to steer further out.

I have sometimes had cars miss me by inches but then they swerve onto the opposite side of the road!

Setting the controls for the heart of the sun.
Where I live there are several stables and horses on local roads, particularly at the weekend is a common sight. Certainly from what I observe, drivers pass horses with a great deal of care. (Although I accept my experience is limited and local horsey people may disagree, if I knew any). Possibly the idea of half a ton of horse coming through the windscreen, or at least making a serious dent in the bodywork, makes drivers a little more careful.
