Scottish, Not sure it's British (in fact it isn't) but Cork

Depends what you mean by British, if you mean part of the British Isles then Cork would qualify.

I loooooove welsh accents. That woman from Torchwood just makes me melt.

'posh scouse'???!!! I've seen some contradictions in terms in my time, but...

I love West country accents, but there's a certain Irish lilt.... some women do it and it just makes me go all..... wobbly...

Geordie for me (or West Irish)

Don't want to get too boring here but when I was younger (ie before rail nationisation) when you arrived anywhere by train the announcer was a real person.

I was living in Hull and a friend from Taunton always said she new she was home when the train pulled in and the announcer said Torrrrton, this is Torrrton (my best approximation) with a broad Taunton accent

Now, certainly where I live. you get a generic computerised posh bloke.

Another slightly small but sad change in the last 15 years I believe.

Sorry - back to the thread everyone

My sister was on a train going west once and she said to the BR guy in the aisle 'Excuse me, but when do we arrive in Newquay?' - the guy gave her a filthy look and said in a thick Cornish accent 'So, you think this train's going to Newquay do you?', and walked on...

I hate scouse it actually makes me feel sick. I dont know of any smart people with a scouse accent either i think those with are definitely more stupid.

It would be better if everyone had the same accent. I dont like travelling and not being able to understand people because they speak like plebs which is usually in places up north. I dont like walking into a shop and being called a "duck", "thank you ducky" what is that all about i thought people only spoke like that on coronation street not in real life.

Some sort of London accent for all would work best but i dont think that is going to be possible. I really think London should break off from the rest of the country and form its own island.

How nice of Blazed to take this special time to make a thorough dick of himself in public once again. You have to admire him for not giving a damn about proving his utter stupidity time after time. Resilience like that has to be applauded, I reckon.
