Reopening Richmond Park

Royal Parks said last Thursday that they were aiming to allow cycling "as soon as possible" in Richmond Park.

Curious as to what is still delaying this 6 days later. Seems to be almost anti government guidelines.

I suspect the ongoing very good weather. It will be mobbed once re-open, and not just with cyclists.

An easy to solution to that is don't open the cafes...

Anyhow, it looks like they closed the parks with no scientific evidence to back up their concerns.

Apparently the pedestrians and joggers don't exhale while in the confines of the park.

It's a bullpois excuse, seized upon by an already anti cycling public body, and it's a disgrace that neither the media or higher government are challenging this rubbish.

The media is probably the primary reason for the existence of the anti cycling lobbying in this country.
