Correct, except an EPC is an energy performance certificate.
The one you would receive that shows work was carried out competently is a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate.
This would be issued via Gassafe once the engineer has registered the installation with them

Oh yes
and even ones that say they are OK for induction are not always perfect
we had a set and the smallest one had so little iron in the base that the hob refused to work with it except on one "ring"
and even then only if it was perfectly in the centre

We replaced that set witha heavier set which are much better - but also cost more

I have been looking everywhere for a medium sized induction hob around 50cm.
Inbetween the "2 burner" size and the large 65cm usual, there is nothing.

Thanks everyone, it seems like Mrs Stephec might not be convinced by induction now, and as my cousin is corgi registered I might just have to find a new hob with similar dimensions.
