Right..

I need to replace the shifter cable for the front derailleur on my Triban 3; I've never done this before so I have a few questions:

1. What type of cable do I need to buy? Links anyone? or all cables pretty standard.
2. I'm assuming the existing cable housings can just be re-threaded?
3. Any tips? It's Sora btw.

Thanks for any advice.

outers are cheap as chips may as well do the lot.
when i did my right hand i had to have it in the "fastest" gear click on the shifter so the cable hole in theshifter was visible on the outside of the shifter then i just pushed the old cable out

Thanks for your help! Much appreciated; exactly what I needed!

I'll order the parts and have a good read of the tech documents!

Thanks again,

LC, don't grease or oil the cable; it needs to run almost dry inthe outer. At the most you could wet your fingers with some chain lube and run the cable through them.
