I purchased my 2017 Cube Agree C:62 SL in February and so far have ridden her just over 1,000 miles, I always wear light weight gloves when riding either the road bike or MTB.
For the past few weeks I have noted that the bright high viz orange tape originally fitted by Cube has started to wear through showing a white under.

I am looking at replacing the bar tape hopefully with a similar colour but better quality, my cycle dealer Leisure Lakes Bikes suggests Fizik Superlight Glossy fluo orange, I like the look of the Lizard Skin DSP 2.5mm in red??? looks like orange to me?

Any member recommend either tape or of a better alternative?
Cheers for any advice.

I've used Lizard skins. Nice. I also like Widget. ODI is nice for bright colours.

I have the Fizik Superlight Soft Touch on one of my bikes. Really like it, although it is relatively thin. Depends what you’re used to, but I really like it in fairness.

Been on for 2,000 miles now and still looks like new. Yes, it’s black, so no direct shows but the black tape it replaced was wearing worse after only 1,000 miles when replaced.

I used Specialized S-Wrap. There are various types but I think mine was the "cork" variant. Despite being a novice wrapper, they went on well and are still in good nick after three years.

I got some Boardman bar tape, purely because it was the colour I wanted. Wasn't expecting much, but it's comfortable and been on six months and still looks fresh. Cheap and good quality.

C'mom Slowmo, a boffin like you knows full well that measuring wear on bike components in time rather than miles is akin to the way government presents data. What are you not telling us? Is this tape on the bike you have in the loft?

It's not in the loft yet, old bean. I ride it daily while my Cinelli awaits a new rear derailleur, in my possession, but sadly uninstalled due to World Domination pressures.:okay:

When the time comes, and believe me, it will, all will be revealed.:hyper:
