Replacing the forks on a Raleigh Twenty with BMX forks.

I should probably put all these questions into a single "Raleigh Twenty Rebuild" topic, but anyhow, is there anyone out there who unlike me knows what they are doing and can tell me if these components will work?
The Raleigh Twenty has a nylon bush at the top of the steering tube rather than a proper bearing, which is a bit confusing to me.

ive replaced the nylon bush with a 1" threadless headset and original forks, so cant see why it wouldnt work.
