Sat here like a miserable git (not really, but anyway..)for two reasons...
My thighs are hurting  10 miles yesterday, 23 miles today, my body just can't take it....5 months with precious little cycling and look what it's done to me fer christs sake !!!

Secondly, i just talked myself out of a new bike. The Bianchis 3 years old and looking a tad well used (it has been)
Ive pondered over a new ribble with Fulcrum 3s, i've fawned over the new Bianchi Impulso (if theyd had one in stock when i test rode one months ago, i'd have brought it there and then)..ive agonised over which way to go, then decided its just stupid, spending £1200 plus (the wife thinks its £1K ) on a bike to replace one thats perfectly functional, if not visually perfect.

Top it all, i got a windfall today that'd have made an easy financial decision even easier than it already was....

I'm going to bed....:sad::laugh:

I've got sinusitis.

I'm not happy - and I'm not one of the other of Disney's dwarves, before the smart alec starts up. :giggle:

Nooooooo...i just sprained my ankle :cry:

Sat on the PC, been sat here a while, front door went, i jumped up to answer it....ooer, foots gone to sleep (i hadnt realised it) took one step forward, bang, straight over. Laid there for a couple minutes clutching my ankle. Jesus, its sore.
My week off, done a bit of cycling each day, planned a good ride for the first time in months...all gone up the swanny now. FFS.

Hehe, ankle swelled up like a balloon, wife suggested a trip to casualty based on the amount of swelling.
Realistically its a sprain and i wouldnt bother but as i'm back to work on Saturday, best i get anything untoward seen to sooner rather than later. Minimise any potential time off.

Xray, chipped some bone off the ankle. I think the tendon tears a slither of bone off when it stretches....ooh ooh the thought of it
Just a tad sore this morning, hurts if i weight bear, no pain relief needed.....ah well.

Ouch, sprained my ankle last year whilst getting off the bike to have a waz. (Grade II Inversion)
Had to to cycle 20 miles home too...

If you haven't got one already, get a ankle support bandage from boots and strap it up.

I'm checking out: Last day of anti-biotics, foot much better now, a 1 on the pain scale and tomorrow I'm going mtn biking for the first time in 2 weeks. I expect it will be a bit tough but I'll live. Another week before I'll risk running though.

I reckon I could kick NormanD up the butt without pain now

Well, at two weeks, today is the first time i could walk reasonably well on my foot.
Its still perilously sore if i knock, rub or touch it on the side where the bone seperated, but overall, i can walk pretty well with just a hint of a limp.
Gotta be careful..getting a sock on or off is still enough to make me wince, god forbid i catch it or even worse, sprain it again.

Sympathy gbb, after checking out I suffered a recurrence and have been hobbling for another week. It's testing my patience.

Started off 3 weeks ago with an inner ear infection, which appeared to trigger tinnitus and muffled hearing. Went back to gp 10days later as i started to wheeze while out on bike. 2nd dose of antibiotics, steroids, inhaler and nasal spray to help with chest infection and sinusitis. Just a cough to get rid of, but managed 55miles on sunday so must be on the mend

Some form of abdominal problem, probably gallstones. Missed Sunday club ride as in hospital for it, no diagnosis yet though as too busy to do a scan. Hoping for some news tomorrow when I'm back there for day 4 of the saga. Still hurts!

Just had surgery on my left hand, releasing of "Trigger Finger". Bloody painful at pres but should ease in a few days. Miserable 'cos I have no idea how long I will be "grounded" for.
