Reporting A Crash

I had a Vauxhall piss pass me this morning, triggering the 30mph warning sign, then tailgating a Honda which had dared to get in it's way. My attention was drawn to a car waiting at a junction then a few seconds later I hear a screech of tyres and a bang. The Vauxhall has crashed into the back of the Honda at a roundabout, I did not actually see the crash but may have caught in on camera, cannot check until later. Is it worth calling the Police non-emergency number to inform them I might be a witness. No-one was hurt but the Vauxhall's front bumper was no longer attached to the car with lots of other minor damage. I did not stop at scene as I did not see the actual crash and both people were out of their cars, the Vauxhall driver apologising profusely despite tailgating the Honda moments before the crash.

I would contact the police, and offer your video footage. That might be invaluable for the Honda driver. It's good for us all when bad drivers get consequences, especially financial penalties via their insurance premiums.

+1. Even if you don't have it on video, you can say that the car passed you badly and was apparently speeding (to have triggered the sign...)

Will do, it''s what I thought I should do, even if no-one was apparently injured.

Looking at my rear camera footage I can see the left rear wheel of the Honda is pointing in a strange direction, unless the wheels that steer the car are at the rear.

Talked to the Police, they took my contact details and explained they would get in touch if any problems arise, also thanked me for taking the time to call them.

It'll be on YouTube later, mainly for pissing past me at close range as I approached an obscured view mini-RAB.

a) Someone was hurt, or
ii) Either party left without exchanging insurance details, or
c) You believe that an offence had occured, e.g. driver was under the influence.

Police may help you getting in touch with the driver of the innocent party in order to support their insurance claim, but can't be sure. DVLC might be better.

That Honda is well broken. He has been hit on the wheel and broken the axle.  Only one brake light working on the Vauxhall as well.  Badly maintained cars usually mean badly driven ones.
