Return to Road bike after 35 years due to Olympics!

Hi all. I'm proud to say that i'm an Olympic legacy cyclist.Sadly however, I'm far too old and slow to make Rio, more likely to find myself in the back of a Clio with my eyesight these days. In truth i've been lurking for a few weeks but now want to put myself on the map. Brought a Carrera from Halfords in the sale and it's going well, if I keep it up i'm going to upgrade next Spring. Last road bike I owned was in 1977!

Welcome back Andy, I can understand the legacy effect, riding around London during the 'limpicks was phenomenal. If I weren't already hooked, I would have done the same as you for sure.

Got the TDF ltd as it was too good an offer to refuse. Been OK for my purposes so far. Changed pedals after 2 rides though as clips were useless. I like the bike but will upgrade in the spring to something a bit lighter.
