Tell you what though: we've just started out the ''phase 1'' part of census collecting which means cycling around local streets, knocking on doors and talking to residents with cheery sun-induced smiles under blindingly blue skies. I could happily do this job all summer - I just found out that I've just accidentally worked 2 hours over my contracted time because it was so nice to be out today....
The biggest drawback is that, working in an urban area, all the addresses are too close together to get into a cycling rhythm.

But I've got enough door-to-door work to keep me busy without being rushed. It's just that it was warm, I was wandering around an area I've known since childhood and being paid expenses for being outdoors on a bike! That doesn't happen very often. And I was regularly looking at the church clock to note down the time I'd visited but I was never ''clock watching,'' so that's how I accidentally worked too long - I hadn't got clearance to work more than my 25 hours but when I totted them up I found I had. It was simply a lovely day to be out and my only regret is that I couldn't get much cycling in.

you might be the only one in the UK...unless someone here hasn't filled it in.
