I have one - very pleased with it. I think they have ironed out one or two slight problems with the headtube/forks.

Very comfy - esp with a full carbon fork - and solidly made. It could be a tad quicker but that's nit picking.

A keeper!

what possible point would there be contributing to this thread if youve already decided what to go for?
Let me educate you a little the point would be for fellow intelligent cyclist to inform me of any potential problems they have experienced when they had bought similar bikes from Ribble cycles so i dont have the same problems , it also allow fellow intelligent cyclist to pass on to me there thoughts on the same bicycle i have picked before i finalise my specific choices of the many different specifications i could choose .
I hope this fully explains the reason for my original post but if you require any further update im sure i could dumb it down a bit for you or even throw in a few drawings for you to colour in later.
Now run along and play theres a good troll

None of that changes my point or answers my question. You're the one trolling by seeking validation on a decision that by your own statement, you've already made.

I've decided to make chilli con carne for my dinner. Does anyone have any thoughts on that?

Yes make sure Mummy blows it until its cool and dont spill too much down your bib and if your a good boy Daddy might sit you on his knee later and tell you all about trying to play with the big kids.

Personally I dont have a problem with Ribble products.
But do be aware that if anything does go wrong with it you'll be throwing yourself on the mercy of Ribbles "famous" customer service...... i.e. They will switch off the phones, refuse to answer emails, stick fingers in ears and go "lalalalala" till you get bored and leave.

I was so disillusioned with that shower I went to Planet X instead - much better support/service so far.

This is a mean-spirited reply. The man was asking a perfectly reasonable question; he has alsmost made up his mind and wants to check out his choice before hitting the "buy" button. We've all been there, haven't we?

Im looking at buying a carbon fibre road bike and ive decided to go for a Ribble Gran Fondo.

The guy stated the situation right at the outset. I was happy to respond because -as Globalti has just said - we have all needed a bit of re-assurance before making a commitment.
