Good to hear you are ok YU, mini roundabouts are the pits as drivers seem to use indicators even less than at junctions and normal roundabouts, if that's possible. But the most dangerous situation is riding on a wet road with the winter sun behind you, I seriously avoid this where possible. Please, everyone be aware, if it blinds you as a cyclist....

I'm masochistic, I even have, what I lovingly refer to as, a 'Cranky Template'. If I'm not able to read your posts I can overlay this on any info I'm receiving, to get my fix. It's a bit like wearing Daily Mail tinted specs but without the humour:evil:

You read my posts as you know I'm right and you agree with me ;).

I see you've got a mention in of your favourite publication .

And the shock 'wave' follows along after...

Hope you aren't feeling too bruised at the moment.

I've had 2 minor (more minor than yours) bumps with cars, and one thing that surprised me afterwards was for the next 2 months I would guess I had a heightened reaction to similar cars and a nervousness of the places where the incident occurred.

And as I pointed out to you the deficiencies in the OP's posts. Read my subsequent posts.

Please don't ever think I would have the temerity to answer without having read all your posts, you might even cite this the real source of my irritation.
I have simply tried to point out that your first post, as is Mr. Hippo's, was patronising, brash and boorish and did in fact get a bad reaction from the OP.

With every respect I don't think any of this is intentional, but as has been picked up by others on this thread, and a few previously, it's the blunt manner and the attitude of your posts that could do with 'lightening up'.

As a community of cyclists let us not forget a young rider had the fear of God put into him here, whether due to his own inexperience or his misfortune to meet a driver that was not paying attention, it matters not.
It's the first incident he's had of this kind and there is a lot to learn from it, let's keep the friendly side to our postings and I'm sure we can offer a lot of good advice.

OK thanks 'summerdays' (if only they were...) Don't be nervous - stay aware.;)
It's Young Un I feel hurt for. The guy has posted straight out and got entwined in unhelpful grind from crankbarmy.
Maybe there will be a time for this in the future.
Young Un will be on red alert next time on the bike and a supportive guiding passage of posts will probably do the most good. I don't know that as fact - just feeling.
Keep going Young Un - and if you feel a bit 'off' donna worry. And have a wash - you teenagers are all a bit pongy. For us old folk like MacB, at least we have an excuse!

No it wasn't .

And you're not .

I don't detect any respect in your malevolent rant.

I tell it as it is.

Attitude of my posts, such impertinence !

As a community of cyclists

You mean as your cliquey little group that you close ranks with when you see something that doesn't fit in with your view.

As I said peviously the OP no gave indication of his age. I was not aware that he is a minor. Read my previous post in response to you.

God is an evil SoB sometimes ;). How about the car driver what was her part in this?

Err.... it does as had either one been driving or riding more defensively then there would have been no story .

Can't disagree with this and which I have subsequently offered advice and sympathy to YU. So why aren't you keeping it friendly instead preferring to continue your petty sniping?

Here are your remarks toward me,

patronising, brash and boorish

I don't think any of this is intentional, but as has been picked up by others on this thread, and a few previously, it's the blunt manner and the attitude of your posts that could do with 'lightening up'

Seems to me you could do with practising what you preach ;).

Glad you're okay Young'Un... your description was clear and understandable. Shame you didn't get the numberplate, but that's pretty common when you're lying in the road!

*And just ignore the people who seem to make it their business to be unpleasant (as well as wrong).
