Rider down this morning (by the looks of it) - City Road.

Looks like there was a rider knocked off along City Road, north of Old St roundabout, in the City. City Road closed from the roundabout to Shepherdess Walk. Plenty of plod around. I got off and walked down the pavement and saw a scaffold lorry with a mangled bike laying on the deck behind it. No sign of the rider and no ambulances so presumably happened quite some time before 9:30.

Reported briefly in the Hackney Gazette

A second woman in her 30s was cycling along City Road, Hoxton, just past the junction of Baldwin Street at around 8.50am on Wednesday morning when she was in collision with an HGV.

Emergency services raced to the scene and took the woman to the Royal London Hospital where she is being treated for leg injuries.

The Gazette understands the injuries are non-life threatening and reports suggest the woman’s feet went under the wheel of the lorry.
