Having been to JOG It's now put me off LEJOG. I fancy Dungeness to Durness as an alternative route.

JoGLE was great. John O'Groats is a horrid tourist trap (aside from the Duncansby Stacks) and would be rather anti-climactic I reckon. Land's End was a stunning place to finish.

The tourist trap at Land's End looked pretty horrid to me as I cycled past it on a Penzance - St Ives - Penzance loop!
Yes, but I have elided the Land's End Trading Company from my memory. I'm choosing to remember a nice traffic free ride along the A30 in glorious sunshine, arriving at a rugged coastline with nothing but the signpost and the sound of crashing waves. Don't ruin this for me! :-p

It was horrible 40 years ago - aye, but the real northernmost point is Dunnet Head. [Watched the first Apollo moon landings in a hotel just around the corner - then known as The House of the Northern Gate.]
Dunnet is lovely but pretty desolate.
Lizard is the southernmost point, Land's End doesn't even get the accolade of westernmost point on the mainland.

We were supposed to do this one on Monday, but the weather got in the way.

Hopefully the next three days rides go to plan. Just waiting for the rain to stop before setting out today.

So it was all a hoax and happened in a Scottish hotel
