Riding through the tip

The guy at my local tip refused to take an old window a few years ago. They have one pile for metal and one pile for glass so it was an unsolvable problem.
He suggested that I take it and dump it 'somewhere in the countryside.' I told him that was ridiculous. Things got quite heated. I recorded him on my phone.
But in the end I took his advice. I know where his house is and I left it propped up against his front gate. I sent the video and a photo of the dumped window to the mayor.
I was at the tire shop next door to the tip a month later and spotted my window propped up against the office portacabin, still with glass.
