As a shorty I'm guessing that going for a blast with a longer legged person would not be a good idea ? Having said that I know science and stuff and things sometimes make the first thoughts wrong . I'm smart like that !
So do long legged people go faster if they are both on the same level of fitness ?

You'd expect so, but they are turning a bigger lever moment so may get tired faster.

Eat, sleep, ride, repeat.
Or can shorter people maintain a higher tempo over a longer period therefore you leaving them behind on the hills?
There's only way to get faster- ride with those that challenge you.

I like hills, especially the downhill ones.;)

I purposely add two 12% hills on my commute every morning.
All that training serves me well for longer weekend rides.
