As I mentioned yesterday i've been really busy recently. This weekend I've decided to do nothing workwise and not turned on my blackberry or checked my e-mail. Quite liberating to be honest. However our meal last night was not as heavy drink wise as I thought it would be and feel not too bad today.

Here's my issue. What do I do today? Mrs Greedo has just had a call from her sister asking her to go and help her pick an outfit for a wedding, but she want's to maybe do something with me as we've not seen much of each other recently and feels guilty as her sister can't dress herself to save her life and really needs her help.

So do I

1. Tell her not to be daft and just go, run them into town and do some shopping myself and meet them later?
2. Tell her not to go and we'll go for lunch and a bit of shopping ourselves which is not my style at all. Never put demands on her.
3. Go for a ride, although I'm not really in the mood and the roads are mega slippy with the leaves
4. Stay in and watch films all afternoon
5. Get the papers and go to the pub and sit by the fire drinking Guinness all afternoon
6. Stay on here all afternoon posting nonsense and annoying people
7. Go and get some stuff and cook a nice dinner for Mrs G later
8. Go into town and go to the office.

I'd go for a combination of 3 & 7.

Cheers
I'm starting to think in order 4, 5 & 7 although maybe just one film and a couple of pints.

I'm adverse to going out on the bike as I can't be bothered changing the tyres and it's so leafy round here and roads are really really greasy. Don't want to end up with an injury on my weekend off. Very prone to taking corners too fast to be honest

I do not know what the other side of Scotland is like, but over here in (you will have had your tea) Edinburgh it is stunningly sunny and not too windy. My wife and I are headed out for a couple of hours. I note your reluctance to cycle, but I would advocate a stroll to a pub/cafe and enjoy the lovely autumn.

Yeah, definitely get out there, be it on bike or foot, it's beautiful. Grab some bits in town to cook later and have a few guinness on the way back. I suggest roast pheasant and parsnips. Don't forget a nice bottle of red. The mrs will appreciate it I'm sure.

5 then 7.

This morning I set out for Fosse Park with Mrs VC at 10.50 to do the christmas shopping. We returned at 11.55 with it all done - Fantastic, organised as ever.

Perhaps you should write a note to yourself to remind you to phone the medics in the morning to arrange an appointment to discuss your difficulties with decision making?

Right,

been to the shops and got stuff to make dinner later. Scallops which I will make a cream and leek sauce and crispy pancetta, tuna steaks which I'll sear and serve with a lovely chilli dressing (I'll make that up as I go along) some veg and crushed new potatoes. For pudding a rhubarb crumble and custard. Mmmm

Now option 2. Just about to watch No Country For Old men and then I'll head out for a couple of pints with my book or the Sunday papers.

Turning out to be a very nice weekend indeed. Saying that though Mrs G is still to come back and no doubt will look like this when she walks in the door!!
