I stop at Red even if theres no one around, and its of no benefit to anyone, because its the lawm and Im like that... The only times I would consider not doing so is if I felt there was a clear and immedeate threat to safety from stopping (that doesnt include normal traffic) eg being chased by knife wielding maniac .

I dont feel endangered stopping at lights generally I take primary and sit in the queue. Im not in that much of a hurry to get to the front, If my destination was that time sensitive Id leave earlier...

OK, it doesn't matter to limit the scenario by setting it as one of the parameters.
tell you what tet, look at the scenario. Consider the possible variants, with and without peds/cars. Any of these you'd RLJ?

Sorry, thought I'd already answered.

With cars, cyclists and maybe peds present I wouldn't RLJ.

With no cars, cyclists or peds other than the torags present, I would RLJ without thinking twice about it.

As I said, IMO it's a matter of courtesy and there's no need to be courteous when you're on your own. Another metaphor; dinner for one at home - shirt, bowtie, tux, silver service etc etc etc? Or on a tray, in your string vest, with the TV on?

My answer would also depend on the circumstances...

If it was a bad area and the kids looked malicious...I'd go through
If it was "amber about to turn red" I'd rev up and go through
If the kids look harmless and there wasn't a car right up my back end, I'd stop
If there's a nice mother with the kids, I'd stop, show my best side and take a good look
For anything else there's Mastercard...
