Loads of ASLs round here in Rochdale have two complete stop lines and no associated bike lane so are officially unusable, unless there's double yellow lines and the stop lines don't quite go all the way to the edge of the road. They are also often actually unusable unless you happen to be at or very near the light when it changes as the lane's too narrow to filter down safely without going on the pavement to get to the ASL (and I don't do that).
