Then folow the link to the Google review page of her shop. Raised a smile

OMG - she's gonna have problems with that.

Don't mess with a red head Irish woman (was going to put lady but deleted that) - just about the wrong combination.

The parking was a mare - surprised there weren't cars beeping.

Personally I am uncomfortable with some of the "Vendetta" against her.

At some point the trolls become worse than she ever was.

I would have to agree with you on this. The escalation on her part happened because he ignored her request to stop the filming. Bath is always going to have problems. The streets are narrow, a major part of them has been turned over to bus lanes, and as such the one way system is very convoluted and where there was free flow, turns easily into gridlock as all the traffic is forced along a single route across the top of the centre. You are bound to get confrontation. If she needs access to her shop to bring stock in and out, then it is not unreasonable for her to try and do this. Some people are simply there as there is no ringroad, and they are just tryign to traverse the city.

Uncomfortable though it may be, I think a little more 'naming and shaming' might be benificial to all in certain areas of antisocial behaviour. But, there's a fine line between being public spirited and a vigilante (witness goings-on in the states right now).

Having said that, anyone wanting to join me with camera and baseball bat to film able-bodied people parking in Disabled spaces in Supermarkets can call me now ...
I don't think I agree. The woman was clearly, unnecessarily and stupidly blocking traffic in what is a horrendous city for congestion. Highlighting the problem of inappropriate parking is a worthy activity. If she'd then gone on to accuse me of assault, the last thing I'd do would be to stop recording.

We all live in communities. If roadworks are inconvenient at points in time, then we shouldn't selfishly make it worse. I'm sure she would have had other options for getting to her shop. How heavy is wool anyway?
I would certainly agree that the way which she behaved and escalated it was plain wrong, but it should be the other motorists she is inconveniencing who take issue with it, and not someone who should really mind their own business and carry on walking unless what she is doing is directly impacting their right of free passage - innit

I don't understand where people get this "you can't film me without my permission" crap. Do they think that celebrities vomiting outside clubs give permission to the paparazzi?

Yes, I'm with cunobelin. I think the filming of her was fine, and the chap did a good job of walking away to avoid further confrontation, not helped by her aggressive and angry pursuit. From that perspective she deserves at least some of the negative publicity.

The internet as a whole reacted poorly to her behaviour though, and I'm sure this must have been one of the most painful episodes in her life.

I had a video a few months ago with a chap having his business called and abused by lots of my YouTube subscribers based on a video of his driving and pulling a sign at me. His wife/partner pm'd me and asked me to take it down, so I did.

That clip defines her life, the silly cow. I mean that clip is what she's famous for, on the interweb. Her sum achievement. People are posing for photos outside her pricey knitwear shop.

I would have said that what she was doing could be regarded as an inconvenience to other motorists than a road safety issue as the traffic wasn't moving.

I do applaud your efforts to make the roads safer around your neck of the woods as there is always going to be an need for it, but we have to separate the two issues. If anything, it could be argued that she was encouragaging road safety by blocking the road up - no movement, no risk ;)

I think this is a very BIG point that few nowadays are able to grasp.
In the old days (sic), there was peer pressure from elders and mostly betters to conform to society and community norms on a range of things. Nowadays you get abuse if you so much ask that somebody picks up the litter they've just dropped. Community and society are collectives and it's beholden on us all do do our little bit. Lots of little bits add-up....

Amen to that.

Some of you may disagree but this is one of the real positives of religion in a community, as it brings people together.

I was amazed when I visited my parents in a small village outside of York, people and I mean everyone I met first thing in the morning said "Good Morning" or "Hello" even older men on bikes did, I was shocked as living on a council estate in Leeds you are more likely to get mugged than a Good Morning from people.

I wonder how this womens business is doing?
Other problems associated with the roads apart from road safety have a direct impact on the communities which we live in, and it becomes our business. As such, isn't it a community responsibility to address them?
I might look and laugh at people getting irate because they have put themselves into a situation like she has, but in this instance, the roadworks were the cause of her strife before he got involved. She wasn't responsible for them, and the utility co's cause no end of disruption which directly affects more than a couple of drivers waiting behind her.

There are many causes for congestion, and some of it is manufactured to discourage drivers entering the area, and for no other reason which is great if there is an alternative.
