Been on the receiving end. Normally I try to ignore it and carry on, but one chap some years ago was having none of it. Without identifying myself as dibble I politely told him he would be well advised to move along before sonething unpleasant and unexpected happened. He clearly though I was taking the Michael when I said "is there anything I can reasonably say or do to make you comply with my lawful request", but unluckily for him he'd misjudged very badly.

He still wouldn't go away so was duly arrested under S4 of the Public Order Act. He tried to resist arrest, but unfortunately for him I teach UDT to police cyclists, and a quick Kenda Nevegal to the face had him down, where he was duly groundpinned my Lappierre.

Lots of witnesses, and I was very careful to be seen to be uber calm and give him ample opportunity to be on his way. I had my hands full holding him down but done passing old boy phoned the local dibble for me, then stood there and gave the chap a piece of his mind.

Matey was charged with S4a and got 3 months suspended for a year. He also got a nice bruise upside his head and nackers the size of space hoppers after M540 pedals had drilled into them.

So if you're in Milton Keynes and a gobby little Chinese bloke in a green Impreza wagon gives you a filthy look be sure to give him my regards.

I would say that my worst was when a car driver pulled out on me at a junction (pre camera and early 2010). He didnt like me shouting so overtook me and stopped, I then carried on cycling. He then did it a second time at the top of a bridge and we had a little chase. I then cycled off and allowed him to pass, then dived down a side street.
When I turned a corner, he was there walking towards me. So I did a U-eey and hid behind a car for 10 mins. By that time he was gone but I kept an eye out for him.

Second was a guy in a van who thought that I had cut him up when he was pulling out of a junction (even though I had priority). He then tailgated me and shouted as he passed. He then followed me from being infront and matched my every move. When I turned at a junction, he was parked up at the side of the road and ran across towards me.
I thought he was going to hit me so stopped. He gave me abuse and said that I had cut him up. I talked to him calmly and and explained my side of things. I then apologised and went on my way.

Third time was a guy in a BMW M5 who passed me closely whilst shouting at me. At the next set of lights I called him an obsenity (wrong thing to do). He then chased me and forced me into parked cars. I managed to get away and jumped onto the pavement. I then headed into the local police station whilst he was still shouting at me.
I explained what happened to the woman and she told me to call 101 and report it. As I exited the building, the driver walked in and said "This little sh1t needs to learn how to ride". I then left and didnt hear the rest of the convo.

The first two incidents I felt werent my fault as the drivers were the ones who just went crazy. The thrid (which was caught on camera) I wasnt best pleased with because I am sure I made the situation worse.
There is a video of a guy who cut a corner but that wasnt as extreme as these and thats why I didnt take that any further.

I've recently undertaken a resolution to keep my temper under better control. I'd got to the stage where I was putting my bike in the road in front of a car on a weekly basis. I found drivers rarely bothered to engage and all that was left was me feeling wound up. I'm now enjoying my cycling more now that I let it wash over me.

I've been on the receiving end a few times but in relationship to the miles I have done its pretty rare these days. The most bizarre and thankfully not severe road rage I've experienced is when driver's coming the opposite way slow down to shout abuse. They probably get to work/home/pub and tell folk they were late because they were held up by cyclists  Its maybe an East Lothian thing I can't recall it happening elsewhere.

I haven't really experienced anything more than handbags as a cyclist. But about ten years ago I actually intervened in a road rage incident.
I was on foot at the time, having decided to walk into the local town centre rather than use the car or bike. On my return journey I became aware of an incident ahead of me. Basically a guy in a car had forced 4 females in another to stop. He had initially pulled along side them, then edged in front and forced them into the side of the road. As I arrived on the scene he was actually banging on the bonnet of their car and ranting like a lunatic demanding that they open the window.
I approached him and told him to calm down, he was shouting about an apparent near miss which occurred further back down the road. The females were absolutely terrified. Anyway I got him to calm down and suggested that as no damage had occurred that he got on his way otherwise I would call the police. He calmed down got in his car and left. I noted his registration and make of car etc and then had a word with the girls involved.
They were extremely grateful, I passed on the drivers details to them and gave them my own address and advised that in my opinion they should reported it to the police.
To cut a long story short it ended up in court, and I went along to give my evidence. The guy was found guilty and although I can't remember the exact penalty I know it was quite a hefty fine.
It turns out the one of the girls in the car was the daughter of a Superintendent from the local nick, so I ended up getting a rather nice thank you letter from him .

A few years ago I was stopped at traffic lights in a combined bus and cycle lane when guy in a red fiesta pulled alongside half in the car lane half in my lane, he wound the pasenger window down and literally screamed at me "I hate you f***ing c**ts, you're always jumping the lights, I nearly hit one of you c**ts last week up there" (points towards TL controlled roundabout, 500 yards along the road) He then pulls his car across my front wheel, peers really closely and growls "I'll remember your face now c**t, next time I see you I'll drive over your f***ing head and kill you" he then roared off up the bus lane and jumped a long amber light at said roundabout.

It wasn't me that had RLJ'd the roundabout and I was so nonplussed by his rage towards a total stranger I just sat there looking at him

Only once. BMW driver (Of course) took exception at me filtering to the front and stopping in an ASL in front of him. He started beeping me. I turned round and shouted 'what?'. He started shouting out of the window. I shouted eff off & give over. He decided to get out of his car whilst ranting and raving. So I though ok I'll fight fire with fire. Put my bike on the ground and went right into his face asking if he effing wanted some. He suddenly realised he had a very angry cyclist looking like he was going to lump him one and his demeanor changed dramatically. He started coming out with a load of bullcrap so I just told him to get back in his car or he will regret getting out of it. He did. By this time the lights were green so there was some beeping from cars behind. He had to wait behind me whilst the lights did their cycle. With me glaring daggers at him now and again. Of course when they turned green he gave me a high revving punishment pass.

I've had cross words with drivers on many occasions, but never violence. Ultimately road rage in any form just gets you wound-up and makes things worse. I try to suppress the urge to shout at drivers, and usually manage it.

I've been on the receiving end of RR a few times, but nothing harsh. The worst I've seen was whilst I was driving my car, stuck in a line of slow moving traffic where two lanes merged into one. One guy in a BMW tried to push in, older guy in the car behind took umbrage and beeped his horn. At this the BMW guy got out ran up to the other car dragged the old guy out and kicked the living SH*T out of him. Luckily 3 other drivers got out and restrained Mr BMW and pinned him down until the police arrived. It took 4 officers to get him into the van. I think he was high or something because he just looked like a crazy animal.
The poor old guy has 2 broken ribs, a busted nose and lost 2 teeth. I don't know what sentence the guy got, but I hope it was harsh. Luckily there were plenty of witnesses and it also happened infront of a lorry which was fitted with one of those roadhawk camera systems, so it was all on video.

Do you have a YT link? Or what is it most likely to be called (where were you?).
