Roady in need of TLC

Just did a check of my roady and saw that the rear wheel is well and truly out of true.When i span the pedals and held the back up you could feel the whole bike wobbling so its off to the LBS for a turn on the truing jig

Upside is as least i convinced Mrs CK that when i bought it to let me keep the old commuter so at least i have a back up.So its back on the carrera subway with city jet 26x1.5`s next week till i can get to the LBS which will be next Saturday.

My problem is the front cog is too worn so it needs replacing.

Swapped rear derailleur with a spare and I don't think it works that well...also when I cut the gear cable it got to frayed and does not reach replacement derailleur so gears don't work.Using spare bike but will need to get thenumber 1 bike serviced as I haven't got the tools to replace what needs replacing.Using spare bike at the moment.

Near miss and puncture fairy

Took the spare bike and today had 3 close shaves with lorries and a p**ctu*e on the way home.

So after fixing the tube i have tried attaching a 1 watt torch to my helmet as my handlebars have not got room for any more stuff.I can feel the weight there but not sure how it will be on the road.

So tomorrow i will be back to my normal commute on the back roads as i am truly fed up of nearly being killed every day despite good road position and enough rear lights/reflectives to rival blackpool with the following ...


2x 1 watt handle bar mounted
1x3 watt tesco torch handle bar mounted
1x1 watt torch helmet mounted

I would love to buy something like a hope vision 1 etc but i want to try this 1st before i spend any cash i have not

Left hooked by idiot in a white van this morning.Now fitted new horn much louder and I will wake the f***** up next time he tries that one.

I think it's powered by a 4amp burst @ 12v as opposed to the last one In used at 1 amp burst.
