I also found it used battery up compared to TouchWiz. It appears to use some Android OS wakelocks.

Strange never had a problem here.

It may be that it's more noticable on the Note 3. Unlike SWMBO's S3 and my old HTC One X, the Note 3 can happily go two days without going near a charger so when an app like Nova does use more battery, you notice the couple of hours less that you get.

Being the honest, upstanding person that I am, I'd never dream of using aptoid or anything similar to pilfer expensive apps for nothing. My er...... friend, yes that's it, my friend may not be so scrupulous and he's wondering if aptoid will still work on a rooted phone?
Obviously I have no interest in this but I said I'd ask.

I rooted my Samsung galaxy S2 without any problems, just make sure you do your home work first, it is quite easy once you have got all the right programs and software.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

I have a Samsung N7000 rooted with Carbon kitkat rom. Battery life not as good as original Samsung set up and some apps wont work with a rooted phone like some banking apps. Still prefer it rooted though as has been said, more control with set up of phone
