I have to say I still love my Rose bike . It’s a Xeon RS from @2014 , alli frame with a full campag Athena groupset with zonda wheels, it’s still the lightest bike I own by a reasonable margin.

It was a bargain at the time at £1400, it was even more of a bargain for me as I bought it at four months old and only ridden twice for £700.
The guy just couldn’t sell it , no one knew the brand and no one wanted campag .

Athena & Zondas? Cracking combination.

There must be something else you use instead, maybe a German or EU product?

Of course, I should have said it was very noticeable how quickly the yellow and blue cans were replaced. Once there was a gap in the market a lot of companies were ready to fill it.

Replaced with...?
Ballistol? According to the usual marketing claims it's better for everything than Brunox and WD combined.

More or more less on-topic: Years ago I visited Rose Biketown in Bocholt (not far from here) and asked for some spare parts for a Campagnolo seat post. Impressivly the shop assistant disappeared for a minute or maximum two minutes between the shelves and when he came back he handed me over the parts I asked for. Iow: they know their business.

Cheers , I thought so too at the time and I still do now . 😀
I bought my best bike about six months before ,a Van Nicholas Ventus with sram rival groupset and mid range mavic wheels and that cost well over three times the cost of the Rose . I love the Ventus to death and ride quality of the titanium frame is superb and everything I hoped it would be, but the Athena/ Zonda combo is definitely superior to the Rival/ Mavic combo . Especially when you consider they were very similar cost wise when new .

We just get the Würth own brand cans; in cartons of six at a time. We used to order WD40 in 5 litre jerrycans.

I think Wurth is quite a big German supplier of aerosol lubricants, and seem to be quite highly rated

Yes, they're a well respected supplier of everything from wood screws to lubricants and work clothes. All our work cabinets, most of our consumables and a lot of things like nuts and bolts come from them. This may be because the local shop is about two minutes walk away.

They've got a Trade Store (apparently open to all despite the name) round the corner from me.
