Rose Catalogue ......why ?

So I got my copy of the Rose catalogue today with the free bag.

I`m now asking myself why I got it, it`s full of stuff that I want......................... NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!

Back in the 80's I used to get Freewheel. the cyclists mail order catalogue. This was in the days before the internet. Me and my brother would scour every page and make huge lists of stuff to buy over the winter!!

I too ordered it for the free bag, but having a look through I've seen some wheels & new light that I 'need' for my tourer, & with a little back pay due next week I think I will be sending about £400 their way Not the cheapest free bag I've ever had
Could be worse I suppose, someone on another thread is now tempted by a new bike from the catalogue

Used the bag today instead of my normal rucksack as I only had a few things to get. It took a loaf of bread, butter,tin of beans, malt loaf, 6 eggs, quarter lb mushrooms, bottle of wine, six chicken thighs, and still had room in it. Kept it all dry even though it was pi**ing down, love freebies especially when they are useful.

What is a Rose catalogue.Is it all bikes and bike related stuff?

It`s 950+ pages of bike porn,bike parts and spares, kit, shiny things, everything you need ,(and you do need it ), there are some outdoor clothes as well but it`s mainly bike orientated.
