Route across Edinburgh

Can anyone suggest the best way to cross Edinburgh from the Forth Bridge to Bonnyrig (Innerleithen road)
It will be about mid day on a Saturday at the start of a 30 day tour. Thanks in anticipation of advice from the locals.

@DougieAB will be the best for this but you could have a look at CycleStreets and see what it suggests.
