How far can I go?
Location

I'm looking for route (well location really) suggestions for another trip with my son next summer. Somewhere within around 60 miles of Bristol, family friendly, and not too hilly. My son will be around 2.5 and in his trailer, so it needs to not be so remote there aren't playgrounds, soft plays, and other toddler friendly things. My original plan was to do the Devon Coast to Coast, but taking his trailer loaded on the train won't be the easiest thing. So somewhere i can ride to and from or have my wife drop my us off and we meander home over 4 days. Nice family friendly campgrounds are a must.
Thanks 😊

Sorry, can't offer the slightest bit of advice but just commenting to express the hope that you both have a great time and that you'll do a write up about it again!

Sustrans has a lot of suggestions but only two in your area. Tarka Trail and one in Monmouth. Tarka would be the one with more accomodation.

There should be a few more sites if you search the Camping and Caravanning club

I'm also taking my son (born in Bristol) on a cycling trip next year but as he is 6'1" and 16st he can pull his own trailer.

The Devon Coast to Coast is lovely and gentle while following the old rail lines, however it is interspersed with some really tough climbs. The Bideford - Barnstable part of the route is nice for children though.
