Is there a royal precedent for this where a ginger offspring has been born to parents who were not remotely ginger?

Is there a royal precedent for this where a ginger offspring has been born to parents who were not remotely ginger?

Dunno about royal, but it's perfectly possible. The ginger gene is recessive, so can lie dormant for many generations. Presumably, the fact that genetics was poorly understood was the reason people assumed that the sudden appearance of a kid with ginger hair meant questions over paternity.
