Just had an email from them to say that they have received my parcel from Wiggle and will attempt delivery today.
Never been notified in advance before, is this a new improved service?
I prefer to use Collect + where I can with Wiggle, as the local shop is roughly 5 mins walk from home and open till 11pm.
Normal delivery hours are not useful to me at all, and if I use someone like Amazon I will go for the lockers they do.
Delivery to work is a hassle as it is a secure building...
.
I'm glad they are now using RM much easier for me to go and collect from the sorting office if I miss the delivery, it was sometimes the reason I would buy from elsewhere when the price was similar
RM is easiest for me too ! DPD are quite good if they have your mobile and or email. Notifications that the parcel is out for delivery and you can reply back that they can leave with a neighbour. This really works and it's quick ! They even text/email back to say when and where the parcel was left !
Impressive. Australia Post are still stuck in the 20th century (or perhaps even the 19th?), and sometimes I suspect that they still think Email is a refridgerator company .
(a bit of trivia: although I knew about this company, I had the toughest time finding it on the web, because the searches kept referring to email in its most modern sense, since obviously that sense of the word is more commonly used now. How's that for an unfortunate choice of company name?)
Plus I guess if Email ever develop an email fridge, it will be the Email email fridge .
