Ain't that bad..
as a test, last friday at work, we sent a letter to ourselves with just our unit number and our post code.
It arrived this morning. All for 0.36p

Who needs street names, city and town names these days? Certainly not Royal Mail.

Just putting "Santa" works as well

Yep I think it's a fantastic system. I am just waiting for the announcement formally killing off the address requirement for letters, it only needs name, house number, and postcode.

You don't need to put the name on, Royal Mail deliver to the address not the name, so in theory you only need the house number and the postcode, but in reality you should put the full address because if you don't the person at the sorting/delivery office might not bother (or have time) to go to the effort of finding out the address from the postcode and your mail might be returned to sender as 'address incomplete'.

Yes, I agree. I opened the door to my flat one Sunday morning, to find a package from Amazon waiting for me. I'd been ill the previous day and hadn't gone out. The poor postie had walked up six flights of stairs. Often when they buzz on the intercom with some package, they start walking up the stairs before I get a chance to intercept them. I think the Post Office is good service.

No post yesterday and no post today and don't expect any post tomorrow.

Not bad as im expecting stuff which is long overdue.Leave it any later and I doubt whether I will get it at all.

Barnet,
I have no complaints at all about our local postie. If we are out he puts the package either under my motorbike cover, or in the re-cycling bin, and he always puts a note through the door to say where it is.:bravo:
