Wait until the weather really deteriorates - snow and ice and see whether he is still going? Maybe he needs to invest in an expedition bike with panniers rather than riding a road bike? Good on him though. I think purchasing a bike as a vehicle through a company is VAT zero rated as it is environmentally friendly?????

I did a bit of this for my work this morning - we needed to collect a parcel that would have been £10 (yes £10!) to (motor)bike courier it all of 2 miles, or wait until Monday at the inside for Royal Mail. The parcel was in an office 5 minutes from Waterloo station so I thought 'may as well'. Maybe I should send work an invoice...

I cycled from the sorting office, to home, after Royal Mail couldn't deliver a package to me. It was quite a big box, which I had balanced on the handlebars as I shot along the main ring road around Norwich . There was a tractor/digger behind me which I kept beating between the lights...got a few funny looks - Including from two Police officers in cars

he certainly looks prettier than most messengers. even the women!! all that pink and white. the messengers i see in manchester are filthy from road grime. seriously tho i wish him all the best. i wonder if he will be as clean in december?
