Wray & Nephew, and similar massively overproof rums, like Antigua's Cavalier 151, always give me a hangover, regardless of how few bottles I drink.Sorry to bump an old thread, but Vernon's influence continues to be great. I recently got into rum and Wray is the daddy. I like it but I'm slightly scared of it! I raise my glass to your memory sir.
Yesterday marked the anniversary of the start of the "Thirty Drifty Days" snowstorm In 1674; have a rum.During my home town Common Riding, Skipper Rum (the best) is traditionally drunk in the early hours of the morning mixed with milk.

Pusser's Gunpowder Proof - THE tipple of choice. Sippers or Gulpers - depend on how quick you want to get cross-eyed!
Odd how these things threads pop up. Was in 'Turtle Bay' restaurant in Leeds yesterday. They have an impressive array of rums.
We'd taken our son there for lunch from Uni.
'What do you want to drink?'
'Hmm. The tasting selection of rum, please.'
Thats 4 different rums, with a can of Ting and lime slices. Don't think he'd be drinking it if he was paying for it.
