Hi there

I’ve got a BMC Team Machine carbon bike which I love - I've had it for nearly 2 years now. On the back of it, I have a Topeak saddle bag. When it was being fitted, the saddle had to be moved back slightly to accommodate the saddle bag fittings. I do overstretch a bit but I’m used to it and it doesn’t bother me that much. However, I’ve been thinking over the last while – is there anyway I could correct this so I am sitting not too stretched?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Shorter stem but if it’s fine why bother?

Don't fit your saddle to the bag, fit it to your riding position.
Your bike looks like it has a proprietary shaped carbon post that is fairly in-line.
What bag/ mount system do you have.

You've fitted a BMC Time Machine with a saddle bag?

Why can't the bits and pieces go in your jersey pockets? All you need is a spare tube bundled up with two tyre levers and a gas cylinder and nozzle thingy.

BMC, like Trek make some kind of aero module storage container that is slipperier than an oilled eel according to wind tunnel research

If you buy a saddle with carbon seat rails, do they fit onto your standard clamp?
Also I imagine there’s a torque setting as to not crush the carbon.
