I've had this plant for 22 years and it's now decided to flower for the first time. It makes all thoise years of neglect seem worthwhile.
It's nascent at the mo but, don't worry, I'll keep you updated as it burgeons....

You haven't been playing U2 or Phil Collins albums end to end have you?

Sansevieria plants are like a lot of houseplants in that they thrive on a little neglect. A mother-in-laws tongue plant will produce a flower stalk when it is mildly and continually stressed.

Since moving house my leaf availability has been seriously reduced. The only tree in my garden has already decided to rid itself of all leafage. Most disappointing.
Perhaps you could do it on a non-drop Christmas tree.
Counting the leaves on that should shut you up for, say, about 596.5 hours.
