Productive evening yesterday which ended with me finding a splinter in my back tyre, swapped it out at 10pm ready for today’s two wheeled outing.
Probably help with a VAT return later and do some housework.

Ah, VAT returns: so glad those days are behind me.

Up at usual time: my bladder is no longer a respector of weekends. Ran yesterday, and their volunteer roster is full, so no ParkRun for me this morning: bike ride it is.

If it would just stop being dark for a few minutes I'd go now but I can't see a way of retrieving my lights without waking other people.

Might fill the intervening half hour with some coffee.

Morning. Off out for a gravel ride with a few peeps from LBS, should be fun and wet. Body starting to return to normal so hopefully not to painful. Vat and paye, yep I remember doing those when in business. Wasn't my favourite job.

Lazy morning starting with Copious Coffee (50% decaf), then might trundle off slowly to the Devon Med (Budleigh Salterton) this afternoon if the sun stays out. Especially as tomorrow looks as dull as a dull thing.

Usual slow start, off to the in-laws over near Runnymede for a deferred Christmas lunch in a bit. Can't remember why it was deferred but don't really care. Dogs deposited with dog walker in the meantime.

Coffee No1 from the mokka pot and hot milk from the 'velvetiser' (christmas present from daughter). Weetabix consumed. Will have another coffee and drag myself out in the damp for 30 miles ish. Nice not to be commuting. Im expecting the bike to end up filthy though, but it is the CX bike with road wheels and clip on guards, so used to getting mucky.

Another dark and dank one here and the forecast doesn’t show it getting much better for the next few days. So once I’ve finished my coffee it will be walk Bertie then climb at some point.

Late shift last night so rode home and got in about 12.45 am then up this morning to give the house the finishing touches before the 2 potential buyers come around later .
Car needs a clean too as it must be over a month since it was done and its filthy inside and out and the commuter bike needs a deep clean and probably new components but im probably going to leave them on till winter is done .
