Constant rumbling since 7 in North Wales. Not much lightning. Rain hit 8am and hasn't stopped. Bloody noisy on a caravan roof. Having a birthday BBQ later. Hope it blows over.

After getting darker and darker for a bit the first rain has just started here (just west of Manchester)

Thundery rainy stuff. Even the dog wouldn't go out this morning. It didn' t start until after 7.30 as son2 stayed dry during his paper round.

I'm having a cuppa in the garden after my first lie in for years. It's sunny and no clouds in the sky but it's meant to be bad later. Time for some cereal and a banana and I'll try to get out before it gets here.

No storm in South Gloucestershire so far, I was kept awake all night by a cow mooing loudly.
At 3 in the morning I was being kept awake by teenagers partying outside, at that point I was hoping the rain was going to arrive, I think some drizzle did as it finally went quiet!

They're always rumbling in North Wales aren't they?

Oh no, that's grumbling.

I went out for a run at 8:00 with dark skies south towards Manchester, just as I was rounding the corner of my street coming home down it all came, what lovely timing.

:rain::rain::rain::rain::rain::sad::sad::sad::sad::sad:,owning a bike , is getting rather like owning a convertable car, you only get to use it for 8 weeks of the year, unless your hardcore that is, and go out in any weather.
If it's not :rain: It down, it's blowing a gale....

Nothing here in West Kent - a few rumbles but it's sunny. Very humid and hot though. Weather sites say we might cop it around lunchtime. But I can't get the satellite site to work (raintoday.co.uk), maybe everyone's on it!

BTW did anyone see the truly ludicrous report in the Express? We have a chap doing some work for us who came in yesterday with tales of "hailstones the size of cricket balls, tonadoes" etc - turns out they are still using reports from this company called Vantage which has been thoroughly debunked everywhere. (In fact, if you google Vantage Weather Services the second suggestion that comes up is "Vantage weather services bullsh*t" :giggle:) The hilarious thing is that the Vantage quotes were interspersed with quotes from the Met Office which were so much more reasonable it was laughable.
