There was a Scandi TV series called "The Bridge".
There was a second series "The Tunnel", in which a body is found in the exact middle of Channel Tunnel, leading to the British and continental authorities having to liaise to investigate. Scenes were filmed on an office/light industrial site near me. (Discovery Perk, Sandwich) which pretended to be the tunnel police base. I only recognised it as I had visited the site to go and sign up with a temp agency based there.... That's my alibi, and I'm sticking to it.

Fergal Keane filmed a couple of documentaries about urban decay at a block of flats in Leeds called Ferriby Towers, my aunt & uncle used to live there when it was still new and pristine in the 1960s. It was the first high rise building I'd ever been in.

Speaking of flats in Leeds, Queenies Castle was filmed at Quarry Hill flats.

Well, 'near' as in about 4 miles from my house:blush:, but Bristol is a hotbed of filming.
In the past, we were doubling for Peckham and I think its outside the Sainsburys that a yellow three wheel van broke down with its occupants dressed as Batman & Robin:

Del & Rodders confronted a mugger here, round the corner from me in the 90's (it was boarded up for filming):

The Doctor landed the Tardis & found a riot going on in the opening scenes of 'The Giggle' - Clare Street, note the floor markings if you watch it:

Matt Smith in The Snowmen story & had the spiral ladder up to the Tardis which was shot in Portland Square, Jodie Whitaker faced the Daleks once on the Clifton suspension Bridge.

Recently, Guy Ritchie was here filming his Young Sherlock Tv series. I was walking though the city centre and came across a load of old Victorian horse carriages. I think they used Small Street:

fark me, only on cyclechat could you have 5 page thread on Juliet Bravo

is it a special 40 year anniversary thread?

It's moved on a long way from Juliet Bravo , sadly.
Imagine how many petabytes a thread about Cagney & Lacey would fill!

Barnet,
Morse is the obvious one; I love it for the nostalgia of old Oxford but can't really stand to watch it currently as it makes me miss the place more; both geographically and given how much it's changed (largely for the worse in many ways, IMO) since the series was shot.

It's probably impossible to mooch more than a few hundred yards in the city without passing multiple filiming locations; I pass the house featured in the first episode The dead of Jericho every morning on my commute along the tow path

Some shots of Morse walking through cloisters of a university in Oxford, were actually St Albans Abbey, and they often used The Crooked Chimney pub near to St. Albans in some of the inside pub scenes and driving in and out of the carpark.

There's a house about half a mile from me that I used to regularly walk the dog past, often on a Friday night there'd be a van parked outside with people in it staring at monitors, and cables running from the van to the house with it's windows blacked out.

A few times I've had a glimpse of the monitor, and every time there's just people sat on a settee, as if they're filming one of those reality shows where people sit around talking cack.

One day I saw a bloke going into the house, and then the next day I saw him again, he served me in our local Tesco petrol station.
