A flat on one of my old postie rounds in SO15 had a plaque by the door, stating it was used for some scenes of Father Of Girls from 2009, starring Ray Winstone!

Favourite Crime drama?

Why, Taggart of course and yes, scenes were filmed all over this area!

Other T.V. things?

I used to live in Dumbarton, within sight of part of the River City set. I never did quite find out what buildings it was meant to be that I saw.

Take The High Road was filmed in Luss and the locality in general.

Some scenes from Chewin' The Fat, Still Game and other similar things were filmed in Clydebank Shopping Centre and round about.

There will be others, but I've forgotten now.

This is the closest that I could park near Navid's shop, quality.

There have also been other things such as Dumbarton Sheriff Court being used for filming (apparently one of the Court Rooms is still in a very old and now historic condition, so it's used for things), as well as a pub (now closed) in Renton that was used for something.
There must be loads of things to be fair.

The middle of Glasgow has also been used in various films, most notably in recent times, when it became 'New York' for parade scenes in the latest Indiana Jones thing.

My normal ride goes past the place where "Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps" was apparently filmed

never watched it myself for some reason

it is a Buddhist temple now
which is a bit of a flip!!
(beautiful golden status/icon/things in a little garden next to it though - always visit it if I go that way)

Livingston Civic Centre recently starred as Camp Zeist in the Bombing of Pan Am 103. Nearby Beecraigs Country Park featured as a wreckage site and Edinburgh’s Saughton Cemetary also featured. In fact we saw the Saughton Cemetary scene in progress as we walked the Water of Leith path one day. We didn’t know what was being filmed until we recognised it from the programme.

the block of flats are referred to as Craiglang now by a lot of local people.
The area was known as " the valley " for as long as I remember but that's fading away now, like many old local names.

Early Taggart episodes used to annoy me.
They would drive round a corner in Maryhill and get out the car miles away.
