With the advent of all day telly in the 80's, it's now endless Jeremy Kyle, antiques & property shows, cooking shows, daytime chat with some Z-lister who has a new book out etc.
BTW - First series Banana Splits now on DVD. Also out - The Double Deckers (anyone here into Spooks?. Check out a veeerrry young Peter Firth in this show)

I used to watch that as a four-year-old and five-year-old in Zambia. Then the Africans would start beating their drums in the afternoon, which was a bit worrying.

I used to prefer the black and white ones with Johnny Weissmuller. Alright, you could say it was a bit racist. All the native bearers would be captured and slaughtered in some hideous way by other black Africans, and Tarzan would only arrive in time to rescue the pretty white ladies and their gentlemen friends. Sometimes Tarzan would have to off some white villain, but his death would be a bit more dignified.

Not quite School holidays but I remember me and my sister staying up watching this while my Mum & Dad were down the social club, used to get scary when they shutdown and Mum and Dad was out



Especially if we had watched this on the Saturday night as well!
