A corner deli stocks 4 kinds of bread, 5 kinds of meat and 3 kinds of cheese. It sells 3 types of sandwiches each made from one kind of meat or one kind of cheese or a slice of meat and a slice of cheese as filling.
How many different sandwiches are on sale?

I've not a clue.

OK, there's 4 types of bread and 5 kinds of meat.
So there's 4*5 kinds of meat sarney. That's 20.
Then, there's 4 kinds of bread and 3 kinds of cheese, so 12 types of cheese sarney.
Finally, there's 4 kinds of bread (still!), 5 meats and 3 cheeses.
That's 4*5*3 types of meat and cheese sarney, or 60.
Add 'em up - 20+12+60 and you get 92 different sarneys.
You want salad? Or not?
