i agree re direction indicator being pointless on a bike but on a f1 and such like then i think is a bit more relevant

Putting the chain on the smallest sprocket (cog) makes it easier to get the wheel in and out, as the rear mech is more out of the way.

Never found a difference, the mech needs a nudge when you put the wheel in anyway and whether it has to be moved half inch or two inches is neither here nor there.
