Screen Sizing Icons - how to fix ?

Hi All,

I've made a clean install of Windows 7 on a PC. Everything has gone fine . . . . . . apart from the three icons that are on the top right hand side of the screen (minimize,maximise & screen close) - they are not displaying correctly . . . yet in all other respects, the display is fine ?

As can be seen, the icon to close a screen, usually has a white cross on a red background . . . but I'm getting a yellow square in a red background ?? The adjacent icons aren't correct, either ?

Any help/advice, much appreciated !

That's pretty strange You could try booting into safe mode to rule out it being a driver issue. Presumably it happens in every window (with those icons) and not just Internet Explorer?

You can also use windows snipping tool to take a picture of part of the screen, I cant really make out what those icons look like other than the red and yellow one.

that's a browser right? re-install?

how are general windows appearing?

I think that I've fixed it - it only happens when Windows 7 is in aero mode display. I've set it to Windows Basic and it is fine.
