Having trouble getting to my headset bearing on my Subway. There's a washer that's completely seized on, I've tried WD40ing it and I've tried prying it out with a flathead but it's chewing up the metal work. Any suggestions?

Yes, and in the end there wasn't much to do apart from cleaning it and relubing it. Didn't make any difference to the squeaking I was trying to eliminate, fairly sure the it's the bearings in the pedals are toast.

Have you taken the fork out totally?
