All things considered, I think I have two possible courses of action:
  1. Head down to the LBS and order one from them, which will increase the cost (but still less than a new frame/bike) and it puts the onus on them to be right.
  2. Buy the one from SJS and, when it arrives, remove the existing one from the bike and very carefully compare them dimensionally before making a trial fit of the new one.
Decisions ... decisions .....

Nice idea but have you ever tried getting a response from Specialized? Their customer service email appears to be a black hole :laugh: and hanging on the phone waiting for them to answer costs money when calling from the UK :sad:

Their response may be different if you're asking about buying a £5,000 bike ^_^
