The Chrysler Ypsilon I've currently got - with an MOT from a (probably) dodgy MOT garage near me, plus sold by an (allegedly) dodgy car sales place in Huddersfield came from Wales, where it'd been quickly through two buyers before being sold onto the person daft enough to bid on it via
eBay
. It came with this description which I'm
not blaming the seller for, but the Huddersfield car sales place:
"No service history but the seller told me that [lots of work] was done and they seemed like an honest person" = nope, looks like it wasn't done.
"Minor gearbox oil leak" = massive oil leak temporarily stopped by sealant because the driveshaft oil seals [still] need replacing
"Aircon just needs re-gassing" = when you've changed the broken aircon compressor you can add gas and it
might work
"Low mileage" = because the clocks were changed so it's done probably 20,000 miles more than stated (I
should have read the MOT history in more detail). Oh, and that's the reason the Bluetooth&Me doesn't work which needs re-programming by a dealer who would charge more than the car's worth. And makes the mileage flicker.
"Bodywork in good condition" = because stripes and stickers were stuck over most of the dents and scratches
But ... it
was cheap. And
does work. Sort of. Once the major issues are fully fixed there's a decent car underneath. Although one without aircon or Bluetooth.
@Jameshow - want a cheap Chrysler Ypsilon Black & Red
