Serious cyclist/pedestrian collision, City of London?

There was a police crimescene taped of here, at the start of King Edwards St. There are a lot of police involved, and traffic was chaotic, but there was no sign of what had occurred. I asked a WPC, and she said "a collision between a pedestrian and a cyclist". "So no fatalities?". She shrugged in a could-go-either-way gesture.

From the positioning, the cyclist must have been heading east on the A40, following the one-way system onto King Edward Street. And the pedestrians were particularly lemming like in the rain. Oh, and the heavy traffic was causing cyclists to behave in a noticably more suicidal way than they normally do.

Nothing in google news yet.

Edit: I guess I was passing about 9am

Was it Bonj? He was a serious cyclist.

Was posting a long explanation, but don't want to derail my own thread. It was a wrong thing to post, so I've fixed it.

I was originally worried that this was going to be blown out of proportion by the media, but now I am shocked that these incidents don't warrant even a couple of column inches.

It's a bit more complicated than that...
It's an unlikely location for a collision - the traffic lights and the one way system, and the need to cross over traffic into the buslane to the right to head into Angel Street and further East means that you've got to be pretty circumspect on a bike.
